We completed the lobby at 315 East 70th Street in 2004, as Phase I of a master plan. For Phase II, the hallway renovation, we incorporated the design strategies and detailing of the lobby, creating one seamless journey. The cherry beam enclosures at the elevator recess incorporate detailing of the lobby’s wood paneling and are mirrored by the carpet border, defining the point of arrival. In addition, we framed the existing mirrors in cherry. We also increased the lighting, using a smaller version of the lobby fixture.
