Before we completed the Lobby project, it was evident to this Board that the renovation would not be whole without replacing the entrance doors. Bronze was the obvious choice for this building which has a limestone base with classical detailing. Taking our queue from the bronze medallion feature of the restored Lobby floor, which was also a point of departure for the new Lobby detailing, we designed glass and bronze doors with decorative grilles that are hinged for maintenance for the exterior entry doors and frameless sliding automatic glass doors for the interior vestibule. The building entrance was completed with the addition of a new canopy to create a seamless and elegant design.
