This pre-war on Park Avenue and 37th Street was completed in 1940. The halls have an elegant, large elevator landing with natural light. Given the size, we extended the lobby carpet design on each floor with the smaller bordered runner back to the smaller east and west apartment wings. The halls maintain a feel of the overall Art Deco design of the Building. Opposite the elevators will be a large oval mirror announcing the point of arrival. The LED ceiling fi xtures provide added output as well as emergency battery back up in case of power outage. The trim detail on the light is custom and repeats the square pattern in the carpet. The new crown trim houses the cabling and enhances the Deco design.
