The Goddard Youth Center is one of many non-profit community programs run by the Goddard Settlement House. The Center provides after school care for young children, including music and art classes, nature studies and dancing. Phase I of the project included the renovation of four existing classrooms and the center’s office space. In addition to new finishes and lighting throughout, we designed custom modular cabinetry, bench seating and office furniture.  We took the challenge of a tight construction budget to creatively provide a warm, safe, and open environment with durable and easily-maintained materials. Large barn doors are a functional solution to dividing the spaces while adding a playful element for the children.
